I found this old picture at my mom’s house.
That’s a 1984 Tommy Guerrero dagger and roses deck which fetch over $1000 on ebay. I love getting on artofskateboarding.com and reminiscing.
Speaking of reminiscing here’s Tommy in the opening sequence of Future Primitive.
That’s good stuff. The opening of The Bones Brigade Video Show is sweet too.
Wiens was one of my favorite mtb racers back in the mid 90’s and this interview pretty much explains why. Just a cool down to earth guy.
I especially like the bit where he writes about the “looming event” style of motivating yourself to train.
If your exercise or training has a purpose and is aimed toward an event or goal, it’s more likely to happen and it will be a more rewarding experience. Kudos to everyone that accepts a challenge requiring hard work and commitment, whatever it may be, and follows through to the best of their abilities and life constraints, to be able to give their best effort at “go time.”
Furtado, Overend, Tomac, etc. Back when Tomac rode drops.
Nice threads. Click here.
I got up and was determined to ride. Even though there was still red blobs on the radar I rolled out. Normally I would ride hard on Sunday but today I decided to document the destruction.
SHAZBOT!!! Can’t get out of the neighborhood without submerging my precious.

I go to plan b which involves riding on a trail which has been blocked by the man because of Fay. In the brief time I was on this trail I know why it was closed. A lot of trees down.

A lot of trees down. The worst flooding I saw was in the Pimlico area. There was a river of water running through the neighborhood.

By the time I got home the road into my neighborhood was less than hub deep. I sure hope none of those red blobs on the radar pass over.
More pictures here.
Like her owner says, she’s a “freak of nature”.
Some good photos too. Read it here.
