I remember years ago when it hit the news and the grapevine. Cycling causes impotence. What a crock of shizzat. They say it starts with numb penis.
What’s wrong with a little numb penis? Here’s some good things about numb penis.
I say the problem isn’t riding a bike, it’s your lifestyle outside of riding. Unless you already have arteriosclerosis, hypertension, a cholesterol and weight problem don’t worry about a little numb penis. However, if you fall into that group you could permanently crush the arteries supplying your johnson with blood. That could be bad. Read this for more on that.
Here’s another bonus to loads of saddle time. It really murders sperm. You can count on having a low sperm count and the sperm you do have will probably be deformed. Unless you’re Keith R who is so virile he procreates in spite of big saddle time and a vasectomy.
Here’s some advice for any young bucks that might read this. If you’ve got a big date and you know you’re gonna get lucky. Go for a long slow ride before and you’ll be a porn star later. You’ll run through every position rock solid. Trust me.
The Boy turned 5 saturday. Kindergarten next year. Yikes.
In-Laws in town allowed Mrs. Silk and I to get out on the road bikes for 2.5 saturday afternoon. I showed her the gihugic house being built out on Leigh Reed Rd. It’s stupid big. I finally remembered to look it up on the Prop. Appriasers site and it belongs to Mr. Corey Simon. Hope he never needs to sell it.
Sunday started out with some egg huntin’.
In the afternoon I rode over to my mom’s house for another egg hunt and bbq. I took a roundabout route. A little asphalt, clay, sand and greenway. What a beautiful day.

Burgers, beans and tater salad never tasted so good.
Don’t forget to watch this dog video. You won’t be dissappointed.
This one goes out to all the gangsta’s out there who might need inspiration in building their cocaine enterprise.
It’s also good if you need inspiration to attempt the new log crossings on Fern Trail.
Push it to the limit
Walk along the razor’s edge
but don’t look down, just keep your head
and you’ll be finished
Yesterday I had an echocardiogram which is basicly an ultrasound of the heart. Brought back memories of my wifes ob/gyn visits. It was actually pretty cool. The guy that did it was like a tour guide on a glass bottom boat tour. “And on the right you will see your bicuspid valve controlling the flow of blood into your left ventricle…” etc. The good news is I have no heart damage from letting this SVT go for so many years and my valves were ok too. He said I’m reaping the benefits of staying relatively fit my whole life. I hope that also keeps me from being that 1 in 1000.
I scheduled my procedure for April 16th, which is a long time to wait. 4 weeks is a long time to think about this crap. I need some weed. Not really.
So he takes matters into his own hands. This is so crazy sick but so funny. Click link below for video.

Phil was featured on the Lanterne Rouge tribute site. That’s a pretty cool site.

I’m a idiot for not having this looked into years ago. Doctor says it can kill you. The “event” I captured on the event monitor had my heartrate at 242. She said, “Your heart can’t do that for very long before it quits”.
The doctor thinks it’s Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome since it runs in the family. My mom and my sister both had/have it. Basically, I have at least one extra electrical pathway in heart that sometimes throws it into a loop. She won’t know for sure the cause of the tachycardia until she gets into my heart.
The fix is Radio frequency ablation. They stick two catheters into a vein in my groin and go all the way up into my heart where they take out the extra pathway(s). It supposed to be a relatively easy procedure and only requires me to spend one night in the hospital.
I should only be down for a week assuming my pathways don’t go near the AV node, our natural pacemaker. If that is the case she wouldn’t be able to ablate the pathway without harming the AV node which would require me to get a pacemaker. Since I don’t want a pacemaker I would have to live with the WPW which would put an end to hard exercise of any kind. Of course she also had to tell me that I could die in surgery but that it is very rare. I looked it up and it’s 1 in 1000 die during the procedure. Doh!
The doctor doesn’t want me riding hard so I want to get the procedure ASAP and get back to riding hard. I can ride easy in the meantime. Looks like I won’t be racing Arrowhead on the 30th. I was really looking forward to that.
Next step is an echocardiogram and then I can schedule the procedure.
